About the workplace
Operational service is part of the service administration in Ale municipality.
The service administration is tasked with providing quality service to Ale municipality's core operations in a professional and resource-efficient manner. Everyone employed by Ale municipality is a colleague. We benefit from being close to each other, we want each other well, and we make each other better. Within operational service and the three service units, we constantly work to develop our operations and work cost-effectively without compromising quality. The goal of the operation is to deliver service-related services to facilitate the everyday life of our core operations. The service units include service tasks (cleaning and janitorial services), vehicle management, and delivery of internal mail. We believe that competence is the key to success and want to be an employer that promotes development and high professional pride among our employees. The operation consists of approximately 90 objects and about 80 employees. As a service staff member, you can be part of a service team, work alone on your own object, or in our vehicle patrol.
Job responsibilities
In your daily work, you will perform service tasks together with your colleagues in the municipality's various operations such as preschools, schools, sports halls, special accommodations, and administrative office spaces. You belong to a team of colleagues with similar tasks and managers with good knowledge in the field. We ensure the quality of our own work and continuously work on competence development. The daily work consists largely of a planned schedule with many varying tasks. We also work based on cases that come into our digital case system, which places high demands on flexibility and the ability to plan the day according to the needs that arise. As a service staff member, there are high demands for good collaboration with colleagues within the unit and other operations. Your tasks may include the following:
- Cleaning
- Setting up furniture
- Floor care
- Maintenance/repair of furniture
- Transport of furniture, bulky waste, etc.
- Window cleaning
- Moving cleaning
- High-altitude cleaning
- Rearrangements
- Various services in staff areas, including emptying the dishwasher and recycling
Qualifications
Do you have good collaboration skills, are you service-oriented and flexible, and are you passionate about the service profession? Then you are the one we are looking for!
You have previous experience working with cleaning and janitorial services. We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in the service profession, is self-driven, and solution-focused. You are flexible, confident in yourself, and not afraid to make quick decisions within the framework of your role as a service staff member.
It is required that you have basic computer skills and are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A B driver's license is an advantage.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. Since the work involves contact with children, you must be able to present an extract from the police's criminal record when offered employment.
